While performing in Aichi, Japan at the 2005 World Expo, the Japanese National Newspaper "Chunichi Shinbun" came to a LuLu and the TomCat concert and published this article in their daily paper (June 4, 2005).

LuLu and the TomCat were recently in the studio with
Mitch Dorge (drummer - Crash Test Dummies),
Jake Chenier (Juno nominated Children's entertainer),
Al Simmons (if you don't know Al, you're "FUN-deficient"),
and a bunch of other zany characters,
and we recorded a song
about fire safety.

Do the Abby, do the Abby...
Do the Abyssinnian Belly Rub!
It's FUN!
LuLu and the TomCat have played at many festivals and events
and their "warm stage presence and
solid musicianship" (Dave Stobbe, Back 40 Folk Festival)
make them a festival favourite.LuLu playing tenor saxophone with the TomCat

Is that the TomCat or Rudolph?
(he is playing a rare model of Fender guitar-

While playing at the Norseman Festival in Red Lake, ON., LuLu and the TomCat were able to have a "gold hit". Unfortunately, they had to leave the "quarter of a million, US$" gold bar behind when they left. Yes, that is real gold!
The Roland Pumpkin Fair was a huge success, and LuLu and the TomCat had the chance to perform for this 1009 pound / 458kg pumpkin. Jake from Roland Insurance is in the background to make sure LuLu and the TomCat don't take the pumpkin home for pie!
